Kiron Skinner's Editorial on Defense Secretary Selection Appears in NYT
Kiron Skinner, director of the Center for International Relations and Politics at Carnegie Mellon University and an affiliate faculty member of the Institute for Software Research, recently penned an editorial on the qualities that should be present in a new Secretary of Defense that appeared in the New York Times. Kiron Skinner was a member of the U.S. Defense Department’s defense policy board as an adviser on the Iraq and Afghanistan wars and has served on the chief of naval operations’ executive panel since 2004. She is a research fellow at Stanford University's Hoover Institution.
