Ashok Kumar Seetharaman

Ashok is a passionate Digital Government pracademic (an active practitioner and a academic).
Featured in “World’s 100 Most Influential People in Digital Government in 2019”, he has over 40 years of experience that spans across Government and Private sector organizations in Asia, both as an end-user and a service provider. His primary domains of expertise and experience is leadership and management of Digital Government Transformation, Design of Public Services and Design and Development of technology solutions.
He is a member of the Expert Group of United Nation's eGovernment Ranking Committee, New York. Ashok has actively participated in various national and international conferences around the globe, such as United Nations at the Global Public Service Awards Ceremony at The Netherlands, DigitalWorld in Bangladesh, eGovernment Conference in Myanmar, Digital Government Forum in Taiwan and ICEGov 2017 in New Delhi, as an expert/keynote speaker. He has also served as a jury for Digital Government Excellence in Qatar and Oman.
Prior to joining CMU, he was the Center Director of eGovernment Leadership Centre at the National University of Singapore, where he engaged over 6,500 leaders and public service officers from 134 nationalities, curating and delivering executive education programs and providing advisory. Prior to NUS, he was Regional Program Director for Asia Pacific & Japan at Hewlett Packard (HP) supporting financial institution, Bank of America/ Merrily Lynch in Asia Pacific and worked for Singapore Government and Singapore-based systems integrators & technology solution providers. He has worked in Hong Kong and India in leading and managing technology initiatives in Public Sector, Manufacturing and Financial sectors.
He has won several accolades such as NUS-ISS Teaching Excellence Award, EDS Inner Circle Award, Individual Contributor Excellence, and Excellence in Customer Service and has been a member for national level committees in Singapore such as National Infocomm Competency Framework, Skills Framework and Service Wide Technology Architecture.
